Born in Thintwa, Mr. Nkabinde was the first in his community to pass Matric with Exemption (Now Bachelor Pass). He holds a Bachelor of Theology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2016, Mr. Nkabinde began his journey as a tutor and a business owner, with a mission to help students achieve academic success, Over the years, he has met many people who struggle with speaking English confidently. This inspired him to create additional resources to help bridge that gap.
Starting as a home tutor, he later transformed his church's underutilized space into a vibrant tutoring center, laying the foundation for ingcwedi's growth.
His late grandmother, Mrs. Lilian Christina Nkabinde, played a pivotal role in shaping his values. Her resilience and dedication to the family inspired him. During Covid-19, he pioneered online tutoring, and in 2024 he launched the Speak English initiative to address language barriers.
Mr. Njabulo's patient, learner-centered approach and talent for identifying academic roadblocks have made Ingcwedi Tutoring a trusted name. Passionate and hardworking, he has tutored hundreds of learners and is known for his patience, dedication, and skill in identifying learning roadblocks, he is truly a pioneer in the industry as a Businessman, Author, and a Tutor as well.
Ingcwedi Tutoring began humbly in 2016 when the founder Njabulo Nkabinde started offering home-based tutoring to learners struggling with their studies. Recognizing the growing need for accessible education, he expanded his services by utilizing the premises of his local church in Pietermaritzburg. This shift allowed him to accommodate more students, foster a collaborative learning environment. The church became a cornerstone for growth, enabling the business to transition from a small home operation to a structured tutoring hub. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ingcwedi Tutoring began offering online tutoring for students across the country. After the pandemic, Ingcwedi Tutoring reintroduced physical tutoring and continued with the online sessions, offering flexible formats to accommodate different learner needs.
In 2024, Ingcwedi Tutoring expanded further to offer Online English Speaking Class for adults and students, addressing a critical need for confident English communication skill. Mr. Nkabinde also authored the self-published book called the "Speak English: Fix English Now", a project deeply inspired by his late grandmother, Mrs. Lilian Christina Nkabinde. Her unwavering belief in education and her nurturing spirit motivated him to create resources that empower others. To date, over 500 copies of the book have been sold, and 300 plus Learners nationally and internationally have gained confidence through the English programs in a space of less then a year.
